There is no official FiveM ban checker website. Cfx.re, the team behind FiveM and RedM, shows a banned account its own status: whenever the banned account attempts a connection, the client displays a notice that the account is globally banned and how much of the ban is left. Cfx.re's help center, which gained new forms for reporting and appealing a Cfx account on June 30, 2026, has no page for looking an account up.

That leaves three real checks, one for each kind of ban: the join notice for a Cfx.re global ban, the server's own rejection message for a server ban, and the operator's tools for an anti-cheat network's list. FiniAC, one of those networks, lets server owners ignore entries older than 90 or 180 days, which is why two people can get different answers about the same player.

Is There an Official FiveM Ban Checker?

No. Cfx.re runs no public search where you enter a name, a license or a Discord ID and get a ban status back, and none of the articles in its support center describes one. FiveM has no equivalent of Epic's own Fortnite ban status page, where a signed-in player can see each active sanction.

What Cfx.re does publish is how a global ban announces itself. Its Ban FAQ says the banned account can't get into any server, and that each attempt brings up a message saying the account is globally banned along with the length of the ban. A global ban comes from the anti-cheat Cfx.re runs on FiveM, not from a database anyone outside Cfx.re can query.

How to Check If Your FiveM Account Is Globally Banned

Checking a FiveM global ban is quick, and all you need is your own client:

  1. Open FiveM signed in to the account you want to check.
  2. Pick any public server and try to connect. A global ban applies to every FiveM and RedM server, so which one doesn't matter.
  3. Read the notice word for word. A global ban says so and shows the time remaining.
  4. If you join without a notice, the account isn't globally banned right now.
  5. If one server refuses you but others let you in, you're looking at a server ban instead.

There are four FiveM ban screens in all, and the full list of what each FiveM ban message means, from the timer to the no-timer notice that tells you to wait out an older ban, sits alongside the appeal steps. Cfx.re's earlier Bans FAQ also said a server can be blocked for using an unauthorized host, which looks like a refusal but isn't a ban on you.

Graphic of the only official FiveM ban check: try to join any server; a global notice with a timer means a Cfx.re account ban, one server refusing means that server's ban, and getting in means the account is not globally banned.

How to Check a FiveM Server Ban

A FiveM server ban shows up only on the server that issued it. The check is the same join attempt, but the message comes from that server's own tools, not from Cfx.re, and it can carry the server's name and a reason.

Many of those messages come from txAdmin, the server panel Cfx.re maintains on GitHub. Its documentation shows that every ban record holds the reason, the admin who issued it, an expiration time or none, and the text shown to a refused player on connect. So the text on your screen is the server's own note about you. To find out more, such as how long the ban lasts or whether it can be appealed, you have to ask that community's staff, often through its Discord. For disputes, Cfx.re's troubleshooting page sends players straight back to the owners and says FiveM won't get involved.

Two Kinds of "Global Ban" in FiveM

A FiveM "global ban" can mean two different things, and mixing them up produces conflicting answers:

Ban Who runs it Where it blocks you
Cfx.re global ban Cfx.re's automated system Every FiveM and RedM server
Anti-cheat network ban A third-party anti-cheat Servers using that anti-cheat
Server ban One server's staff That server or network

FiniAC is an example of the second kind. Its documentation on bans says its global bans apply across all servers protected by FiniAC, are issued for confirmed cheaters and exploiters, and can be added automatically for some detections. Server owners on its Ultimate plan can choose to ignore global bans older than 90 or 180 days, but a license with two or more of them stays blocked whatever the setting.

FiniAC's docs also describe an alias-account system: when a player connects, it compares their identifiers and hardware IDs with other accounts, links the ones that match, and bans every linked account once one of them is banned. So a FiniAC ban can end up covering accounts the player never used on that particular server.

Here's where that bites. A player can be clear of any Cfx.re global ban and still be refused by every server that runs a particular anti-cheat, and the join notice they see will come from that anti-cheat, not from Cfx.re.

What Third-Party FiveM Ban Checkers Can See

Third-party FiveM ban checkers, whether websites, Discord bots or resources a server installs, only see what their own operators collect. In practice that means:

  • A list kept by an anti-cheat network or a group of servers, built from their own bans.
  • Reports submitted by the servers that use the tool.
  • Nothing from Cfx.re's global ban records, which Cfx.re doesn't publish.
  • Nothing from a server's private txAdmin records, unless that server shares them.

So an empty result from one of these tools doesn't prove an account is clean, and a hit only means that one list has the player on it. Treat any checker that asks for your account password as a reason to stop: none of the checks above needs it.

Graphic of three FiveM ban lists and their owners: the Cfx.re global ban shows only on the banned account's join notice, an anti-cheat network list is checked by servers running that anti-cheat, and a server ban is kept in that server's txAdmin records.

Can You Check If a FiveM Account Is Banned Before You Use It?

Only by signing in with it and trying to join a server. Cfx.re offers no public lookup by name, ID or license, so nobody can show you a FiveM account's global ban status from the outside, and screenshots can be old.

Cfx.re's own account changes are a second reason for care with accounts you didn't create. Its Account Security Update FAQ says the license identifiers that servers use to recognize a player's Rockstar Games account began changing on June 24, 2026, to help stop compromised or stolen Rockstar Games accounts from being used on FiveM and RedM.

Checking Whether a Player You Reported Got Banned

Cfx.re takes reports through a Cfx account report form, which went up on June 30, 2026, and the article describing it covers only how to submit one. Nothing in Cfx.re's published support pages says reporters hear the outcome, so there is no official way for the person who filed a report to confirm a ban.

On a community server, a report usually goes to the staff through the server's own channel. Whether they tell you what they did is their call; txAdmin keeps the record for them, not for the reporter.

For Server Owners: Checking a Player in txAdmin

A FiveM server owner checks a player's ban status inside txAdmin, not on a public site. txAdmin keeps every warning and ban in the server's own player database, records who issued each one and why, and logs an unban as a revoked action under the admin's name.

That record covers your server only. A player banned elsewhere won't show up in your txAdmin unless your community shares lists with that server, or you also run an anti-cheat network that pushes its own global entries. The admin permission for banning and unbanning is players.ban, and staff with players.remove_ids can delete stored IDs and hardware IDs for a player.

FiveM Ban Checks and HWID Spoofers

An HWID spoofer doesn't change what any FiveM ban check shows for an account. A Cfx.re global ban is tied to the account, so the join notice stays the same whatever the PC reports, and a server's ban record stays in its database.

Hardware comes into it only where a server saved hardware ID tokens with a ban, the same idea as other bans that live on the hardware, not the login. Saturn's spoofer for FiveM changes the identifiers a spoofer replaces on Windows, so stored tokens stop matching that PC; the account side, and the server's decision, don't change. FiveM coverage is part of Saturn's BattlEye product, even though the game's anti-cheat is Cfx.re's, not BattlEye. Saturn offers a free trial of 24 hours, with an email address required and no card.

FiveM Ban Checker FAQ

How do I check if I'm banned on FiveM?

Sign in and try to join any server. A Cfx.re global ban shows a notice with the time left on every join attempt, and a server ban shows that server's own message.

Is there a FiveM ban checker website?

Not from Cfx.re. Third-party sites and Discord bots exist, but they only search the lists their operators keep, not Cfx.re's global bans.

Are FiveM bans IP bans?

Cfx.re describes its global ban as an account ban and says nothing about IP addresses. Individual servers decide which identifiers they store, and a txAdmin guide from server host XGamingServer lists IP among the identifiers txAdmin shows for a player.

Can I check another player's FiveM ban?

Not through Cfx.re. A server's staff can check their own records in txAdmin, and an anti-cheat network can check its own list, but neither sees the other's data.

Why can I join some FiveM servers but not others?

That pattern points away from a Cfx.re global ban, which blocks every server. It usually means a ban on one server or network, or an anti-cheat network's list that only the servers running that anti-cheat check.

Does a FiveM ban show anywhere outside the game?

Not anywhere Cfx.re publishes. The ban appears when the account tries to join a server, and a server ban appears on that server and in its staff tools.
