A PUBG ban appeal on PC is a ticket to PUBG Support: you open the "Submit a request" page, pick "Ban", choose one of six ban types and make your case in a description box. KRAFTON lifts bans caused by confirmed account theft, within set yearly limits, and reviews claimed false bans, but its anti-cheat team wrote in a November 14, 2025 dev letter that about 70% of the appeals it examined in a false-ban review turned out to be confirmed cheat use.

Keep that figure in mind before you write. An appeal earns its place when KRAFTON got the ban wrong, or when someone else was on your account, and it goes nowhere when the ban is right. The sections below cover the exact route for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS on Steam field by field, what to write, the separate hacked-account process KRAFTON updated on July 22, 2026, and the bans PUBG Support says it will not reverse.

Which PUBG Ban Do You Have?

PUBG bans come from more than one place, and the appeal only works if it goes to the place that issued it. KRAFTON handles PUBG's own bans through PUBG Support, Steam handles VAC, and PUBG Mobile is a separate game with its own help center. Before writing anything, match what you see to the right door:

What you have Where the appeal goes
A permanent or temporary PUBG ban PUBG Support, Ban form, matching issue type
A ban on the PC itself PUBG Support, Ban form, "Hardware Ban"
A ban that hit after your account was stolen PUBG Support, Account Hijacking Recovery Service
A VAC ban Steam, not KRAFTON
A PUBG Mobile ban The PUBG Mobile help center

Steam's store page lists KSS (Krafton Security Services) as PUBG's anti-cheat, one of the kernel-mode anti-cheat drivers that load with the game, and KRAFTON's own team decides PUBG bans. PUBG Support's own VAC article says KRAFTON does not issue VAC bans, that only Steam does, and that a VAC ban cannot be appealed. PUBG's penalty table also tells you how serious your case is: cheating with unauthorized programs or hardware devices (KRAFTON's terms list the DMA boards named in PUBG's terms among them), modifying the game client and exploiting major bugs carry a permanent ban at most, while inappropriate language, gameplay interference and abnormal gameplay top out at 30 days.

Picking Hardware Ban only makes sense when the PC itself is restricted and a fresh account on it is blocked too. KRAFTON's rules for that case, and how KRAFTON restricts a banned PC, are covered in their own guide. A hardware ban targets the computer instead of the login, the same way hardware bans and the identifiers behind them work in other games.

How to Appeal a PUBG Ban on PC

PUBG Support takes ban appeals through one form. These are the steps on PUBG Support's request page, in the order the form shows them:

  1. Under "Please select your issue(game) below", choose Ban. (Choose Hijacking instead if your account was stolen; that route is covered further down.)
  2. Enter the email address where you want KRAFTON's reply.
  3. Under Issue, pick the closest match: Permanent Ban, Temporary Ban, Hardware Ban, Teamkill, Teaming or Gameplay Interference.
  4. Choose your preferred support language.
  5. Enter your Steam ID, the 17-digit number the form asks for.
  6. Enter your PUBG nickname.
  7. Write a short subject line that names the ban type, for example "Permanent ban appeal".
  8. Write the description and add attachments, then submit.

The form shows a privacy notice before you start: PUBG Support keeps the email address, language, Steam ID, character name and anything you attach for three years from the date of the inquiry, and keeps records related to fraudulent or unauthorized use for five years. Send one ticket. KRAFTON's support pages say restrictions are not lifted or shortened by contacting support again and again.

What to Write in a PUBG Ban Appeal

A PUBG ban appeal lands better when it is short, factual and built from the details KRAFTON can check. The form already collects your Steam ID and nickname, so the description only needs what those fields cannot say:

  • The ban type and the date and time it appeared.
  • What was going on at the time: the match, the mode, whether you had just changed hardware or installed something.
  • Any software running alongside the game that could explain a false flag, named plainly. PUBG Support lists programs that alter the game, programs that read information from it, and macros or cheats for other games as violations even when they are not PUBG cheats.
  • Screenshots of the ban message, attached rather than described.

Leave out what will not help. PUBG Support says it does not share the exact reason or detection behind a ban for security reasons, so asking which detection fired will not get an answer. Spending history and short play time do not count either: Support states that purchases, low K/D and limited hours exclude no account from restrictions. Promising not to do it again does not work for a confirmed violation, and apologizing for cheating admits the violation the appeal is meant to dispute.

Player reports are another common worry. An anti-cheat review KRAFTON posted on August 2, 2024 states that no ban is based solely on player reports, and that it was replacing report-related temporary bans with detection models. If you think a group of players mass-reported you, say what happened, but the case will turn on KRAFTON's own data.

Appealing After Your PUBG Account Was Hacked

PUBG treats a ban caused by account theft differently from every other appeal. Older PUBG Support pages put the responsibility on the owner, but KRAFTON now runs an Account Hijacking Recovery Service that restores access when the theft is confirmed. Its limits changed on July 22, 2026:

  • An account with a secondary password set can be unbanned after theft once in each half of the year (January to June, July to December), so up to twice a year.
  • An account without a secondary password keeps the older rule: one theft unban per lifetime.
  • After a first successful recovery, a new theft on an account with no secondary password is not eligible again. Accounts recovered before July 22, 2026 get one more request even without one.

The request goes through the same PUBG Support form with the subject "[Account Hacked Recovery Service Request]", your email, your 17-digit Steam ID, language, in-game character name (a hyphen if you have forgotten it) and four confirmations. The description must include a full-screen screenshot showing that Mobile Steam Guard is turned on. KRAFTON rejects cropped or edited screenshots and does not accept Steam Guard by email.

Set up the secondary password once access is back. It is what decides whether a second theft can be fixed at all.

What KRAFTON Reverses and What It Does Not

KRAFTON reverses two kinds of PUBG ban: ones it confirms were caused by account theft, and ones its false-ban review finds were wrong. Everything else, by PUBG Support's own wording, stays in place.

The support pages are blunt about it. According to PUBG Support, no user with evidence of a violation gets unbanned. Support also says it cannot reduce or remove restrictions on accounts that broke the terms, and that a promise not to do it again changes nothing. A ban earned by someone else who borrowed your login is still a ban on your account unless it qualifies as theft under the recovery service.

KRAFTON's own numbers show how many appeals come from players who did cheat. Its November 14, 2025 dev letter said about 70% of submitted appeals in its analysis of false-ban reports were confirmed cases of cheat program use. Its April 17, 2026 letter said ban appeals dropped by over 40% after it added validation steps to its AI-based detection, along with a protection system across the sanction decision process meant to keep legitimate players from being caught.

KRAFTON does not publish how long an appeal takes, and nothing on PUBG Support gives a response time. Reply windows quoted on unban-service sites are not KRAFTON's. Its June 28, 2025 roadmap also said it was reviewing an automated unban system based on identity verification and a possible compensation system for false bans, and KRAFTON's 2026 anti-cheat letters from February to July do not mention either one again.

Graphic comparing what KRAFTON reverses, confirmed account-theft bans within yearly limits and bans its false-ban review finds wrong, with what it keeps: bans with evidence, promises not to repeat, and repeat tickets.

If the Ban Is on Your PC, Not Just the Account

A PUBG hardware ban leaves you with a different problem once the appeal is done. If KRAFTON upholds it, or the ban was never a mistake, the account stays banned and the PC stays restricted, and no second ticket changes either of those.

The PC side is the part an HWID spoofer for PUBG such as Saturn deals with. Saturn changes the hardware identifiers the machine reports, from the motherboard and disk serials to the GPU, monitor EDID and network MAC, which clears the PC's part of the ban. It is not an appeal and it does not bring the banned account back: you play on a different account. Before choosing, read the difference between Saturn's two spoofing modes. Temporary mode works while Saturn is open, puts the original IDs back when you close it and lets you switch between unlimited profiles. Permanent mode is one rewrite of the IDs tied to one profile, and replacing that profile after a ban is a separate purchase. Saturn covers PUBG, and the live status page shows it in the BattlEye line, so look there before you play. PUBG Ban Appeal FAQ

How long does a PUBG ban appeal take?

KRAFTON gives no published turnaround for PUBG ban appeals, and PUBG Support lists none. Reply times quoted by unban services are their own estimates.

Can I appeal a PUBG hardware ban?

Yes. PUBG Support's Ban form has "Hardware Ban" as its own issue type, so you can ask for a review the same way as for an account ban. The review can still end with the ban upheld, because bans backed by evidence stay.

Will PUBG lift a ban for cheating if I promise to stop?

No. PUBG Support says it cannot reduce or remove restrictions on accounts that broke the terms of service, whatever the player promises.

Can I appeal a VAC ban through PUBG Support?

No. KRAFTON does not issue VAC bans; Steam does, and PUBG Support's VAC article says a VAC ban cannot be appealed.

Does a secondary password help me get unbanned?

Only after account theft. Since July 22, 2026, an account with a secondary password can use KRAFTON's hijacking recovery up to twice a year, while an account without one gets a single theft unban for life.
