Disabling Safe Mode

Enable or disable Windows Safe Mode using Command Prompt

Important Note

  • - Save all open work before proceeding
  • - This process requires administrative privileges
  • - Your computer will need to restart

Disable Safe Mode

  1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator (while in Safe Mode)
    • Press the Windows key
    • Type "cmd"
    • Right-click "Command Prompt"
    • Select "Run as administrator"
  2. Enter the following command:
    bcdedit /deletevalue {current} safeboot
  3. Restart your computer to exit Safe Mode
